The TECH Advantage

Michigan Technological University offers a variety of options in setting for your event, from rustic to high-tech. Michigan Tech has the facilities to accommodate a vast range of group sizes from small meeting groups of less than 10 people to groups numbering more than 500. Michigan Tech has its own videoconferencing, satellite uplink and downlink capabilities, and uses advanced technological facilities to improve the efficiency of its service to clients. Michigan Tech's modern, high-rise dominated campus is approximately one-half mile long, and all buildings are within close proximity. Residence halls and the Memorial Union Building (MUB) are located on the main campus, each offering a variety of banquet and meeting options.

The Ford Forestry Center, donated to Michigan Tech by Henry Ford, is a great place for a retreat with ample meeting and banquet space. Originally a working sawmill, the FFC is nestled amongst trees, walking trails, and waterfalls. The FFC is exceptionally peaceful and conducive to focusing on an agenda or introspective contemplation.

Michigan Tech caters to recreational needs, as well, with the 235,000 square foot Student Development Complex, featuring an ice arena, multipurpose room, natatorium, gymnasium, weight room, and racquetball/squash courts, dance and music rooms and a gymnastics room. The four indoor courts of the Gates Tennis Center will keep you at the top of your game. Or, tee off at the challenging 18-hole Portage Lake Golf Course.

During the snowy winters, Michigan Tech offers challenging Alpine Skiing at Mont Ripley, located just across the Portage Canal from campus. There are also hundreds of miles of cross-country skiing trails in the area, including the Tech Trails, owned by Michigan Tech. For those into snowmobiling, the area's trails are among the best in the Midwest.

C&I will be with you all the way to help you determine the best fit of your needs to the available facilities and resources.
